Working a recent support case involving Integration Manager for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, I want to share the following information which may assist you.
The issue involves Dynamics GP users not able to see newly created integrations within the Run Integration window. These users are restricted from the main Integration Manager window. The environment consisted of Dynamics GP and Integration Manager installed locally to each of the Citrix servers in a farm of 10 servers. Prior to this issue, the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.ini was edited with the DBPath entry to force all installations of Integration Manager on the various Citrix servers to the same network share and MDB file. The DBPath entry consisted of the following –
First step was to confirm with the users having access to the main Integration Manager window that they saw the newly created integrations. As they did, the issue was specific to the Run Integration window. Finding no security within Dynamics GP to impact this, next step was researching configuration options for Integration Manager. Resolution – To fix the issue involves using the same DBPath entry within the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.IMRun.ini file. If the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.IMRun.ini file does not exist, create the file by using Notepad. Below are the steps:
1 – Copy Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.ini
2 – Paste Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.ini making a ‘copy of’
3 – Rename the ‘copy of’ ini as Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.IMRun.ini
4 – Edit the newly created Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.IMRun.ini with the correct path similar to the following -
5 – Save the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.IMRun.ini file to the Integration Manager folder ensuring it is located in the folder contains the active Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegratonManager.IMRun.exe file.
6 – Copy the Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.IntegrationManager.IMRun.ini file or repeat the above steps for the various Integration Manager installations requiring the forced path specified as applicable.
7 – Have the users restart Dynamics GP then Run Integration to pick up the change and view the newly created integrations.
